SUDANESE ECONOMIC AND INVESTMENT FORUM OPENED IN ABU-DHABI Abu-Dhabi, May 19 (SUNA) - His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al-Nahayan, chairman of the chamber of His Highness the Crown Prince of Abu-Dhabi, has affirmed that the Sudanese Economic and Investment Forum is an opportunity that should be utilized for realizing the interests of the two countries. Inaugurating the forum in Abu-Dhabi Sunday, His Highness said the forum is an occasion for boosting the economic cooperation between the two countries. He pointed out that the forum is stemming from the principles of joint cooperation between the two countries at the instructions of His Highness President of the United Arab Emirates ( UAE) Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan and President of the Republic Gen. Omer Al-Bashir besides the keenness of the crown prince on investment. Sudan Ambassador to UAE Mohi-Eddin Salim, on his part, welcomed the participants, appreciating Sheikh Sultan's for sponsoring the forum. Ministers of Finance and National Economy and Investment called on UAE businessmen to invest in Sudan, referring to the big investment opportunities in the country. Minister of Finance and National Economy Al-Zubair Ahmed Hassan explained that Sudan has succeeded to create a conducive atmosphere for investment by stabilizing the exchange rate and stability of the economy in general. He pointed out the imminent peace in the country and conveyed the greetings of President of the Republic Gen. Omer Al-Bashir to his brother His Highness Sheiklh Zayed. Minister of Investment Al-Sharief Ahmed Omer Badr, on his part, referred to the existence of strong political will for boosting the relations between the two countries, urging businessmen to utilize the potentials of the two countries.
