VICE-PRESIDENT AFFIRMS PREVALENCE OF PEACEFUL RELIGIOUS AND TRIBAL CO-EXISTENCE IN SUDAN Khartoum, May 19 (SUNA) - Vice-President of the Republic , Prof. Moses Macher, has affirmed the unique standard of the deeply-rooted peaceful religious and tribal coexistence in the Sudan. This came when he received at the Republican Palace Monday an American church delegation. Prof. Machar stressed Sudan is providing a unique model at the regional and international levels for the countries which enjoy the freedom of religion and belief . Meanwhile, Prof. Machar stressed the government determination to realize peace, indicating that the coming two month would witness the signing of a lasting peace agreement in Sudan. The Vice-President has called on the friendly and donor countries to contribute to the rehabilitation and development in the south after the signing of a peace agreement. Head of the American church delegation said that they felt the reality of peaceful religious and tribal co-existence in Sudan through their several meetings and visits in Sudan. MO/MO.
