THE INDIAN EXPRESS

CHANDIGARH : The Ambassador of Sudan to India, Mr. Abdalmahmood Abdalhaleem, said seats should be reserved for Sudanese students in Panjab University. Addressing mediaperson today, Abdalhaleem said over 1,800 Sudanese students come to India to study. Most of them, he said, go to universities in South. " We'll try to pursue PU authorities to reserve seats in various course for Sudanese students so that they're encouraged to pick Chandigarh also as a study centre," said Abdalhaleem. " I too have been taught by Indian teachers and professors" he added. He is here to inaugurate the Chandigarh chapter of the Indo-Sudan Friendship Society to be launched tomorrow.
