Khartoum, Sudan, May19,2003(AP) , Syria's Prime Minister arrived in Sudan Saturday for two days of talks with Senior Sudanese officials.
Mustafa Miro, who was accompanied by Syria's ministers for foreign affairs, economy and education, told reporters his visit was aimed at " discussing bilateral relations and the recent challenges in the region following the recent aggression against the Iraqi people."
Miro met with Ali Osman Mohammed Taha, the first vice President, and is expected to meet Sudanese President Omar el-Bashir. It was not immediately clear when the meeting would occur.
In April, el-Bashir travelled to Syria to meet with Syrian President Bashar Assad.
